Data Management

Your site is configured to use local JSON files for menu and meal data. This works great for GitHub Pages hosting!

Optional: You can also connect Google Sheets for easier data editing. See the configuration section below.

Google Sheets Setup (Optional)

To use Google Sheets for data management:

  1. Go to Google Cloud Console
  2. Create a new project and enable Google Sheets API
  3. Create an API key
  4. Create a Google Sheet with your menu data
  5. Update js/google-sheets.js with your API key and Spreadsheet ID
  6. The site will automatically fetch data from your sheet

Google Drive Images

To add meal photos from Google Drive:

  1. Create a folder in Google Drive for your meal photos
  2. Upload your meal images to this folder
  3. Share the folder and get its ID from the URL
  4. When logging meals, paste the Google Drive folder ID
  5. The site will automatically display images from the folder

The website is ready to deploy to GitHub Pages! All data is stored locally or in your Google account for privacy and performance.
